In their latest round of announcements, the Country Music Association has added four more stars to their growing list of artists appearing at the four day CMA Music Festival held in downtown Nashville, Tennessee this June. 

In today's edition of news briefs, George Strait and Reba have announced the postponement of this week's concerts while LeAnn Rimes will be working with a new producer at the same time that the Zac Brown Band announces the west coast part of their 2010 tour.

Terri Clark first came to notariety in the mid 1990s with her feisty brand of country music.  While working on her current release, her mother became sick with cancer and this event found Terri focusing on what mattered most in both her music and her career.

Today's news briefs include news about Charlie Daniels' minor stroke, Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton release new webisodes, Tim McGraw's second children's book gets a release date and Halfway To Hazard takes a break from all appearances.

It's a sad day for country music today as the legendary country rockabilly and honky tonk star Carl Smith passed away at his Nashville-area home.  The singer, mostly retired since the 1970s, was preceded in death by his wife, country singer Goldie Hill Smith in 2005.
