Country Album Chart Report for August 18, 2015

Luke Bryan's "Kill The Lights" dominates chart with nearly 400k scanned in one week.

With stiff competition on the Billboard 200 Albums chart in the way of the Dr. Dre's much-hyped Apple Music/iTunes exclusive Compton (soundtrack for the Straight Outta Compton film), Luke Bryan held Dre off with his latest album Kill The Lights. The album scanned over 320k of actual album sales with Billboard's Track Equivalent number at over 345k. Dre's album scanned 276k/294k. At #2 on the country album chart is Sam Hunt's Montevallo. The album scanned another 14 k to give the star nearly 694k scanned copies of his debut album to date. At #3 is Something More Than Freethe stunning album from Jason Isbell. it's now scanned over 76k. Michael Ray's debut album scanned 11.3k last week to debut at #4. The singer's album features the #1 hit "Kiss You In The Morning." Rounding out the Top 5 is Zac Brown Band's nearly Gold (scanned) Jekyll+Hyde.

Sitting at #6 this week is Alan Jackson's Angels & Alcohol. He's scanned nearly 87k to date. At #7 is Eric Church's The Outsiders while Pain Killer from Little Big Town sits at #8 with 323k+ scanned to date. Jason Aldean's Old Boots, New Dirt sits at #9 while the various artist Now That's What I Call Country Volume 8 sits at #10.
