We’re always excited to share new music with you and today is not any different as we’ve teamed up with Chicago songwriter Cass Cwik to premiere the title track from his forthcoming album Wise, Wild & Free.
Cass has worked with his band Cass Cwik & the Small Gas Engines since 2016 and he’s been a singer/songwriter since before he was able to drive. The new music found on “Wise, Wild & Free” was mostly written during 2020 and while not an album about the Pandemic, he says, “As a result of the world going through a lot of darkness, I sought to write songs that were quick, catch, and that left you feeling not-so-low.”
The title of this song (and album) came from a self-help book Cass was reading at the time but noted the song is more about living in the moment and romping around the country. “It was escapism during the rough time it was written,” he said.
