Austin’s Cody Bryan Band is making its own bit of history with the release of its debut album, Wreck Me, on May 14 and the single, “If I’m Going Nowhere,” to Texas radio stations.
Co-produced by Kevin Butler and Blue October bassist Matt Noveskey, and recorded in Austin at Test Tube Audio, WRECK ME showcases Bryan’s considerable vocal and songwriting skills.
Wreck Me's first single is the perfect-for-summer tune, “If I’m Going Nowhere,” which, Bryan says, is about “just living life for the moment, not planning for the future.” Noveskey characterizes the upbeat song as empowering. “It’s all about doing what you want to do and not what people are trying to tell you to do or what you’re supposed to. It’s about following your own path and being carefree.”
