Country Album Chart Report for August 24, 2015

Luke Bryan holds onto #1 while Pat Green makes his debut with "Home" and scores a Top 5 finish. Get the full scoop on the Top 10 Country Albums with notables here!

With stiff competition on the Billboard 200 Albums chart in the way of the Dr. Dre's much-hyped Apple Music/iTunes exclusive Compton (soundtrack for the Straight Outta Compton film), Luke Bryan held Dre off with his latest album Kill The Lights to remain at #1 on the all-genre chart (a resurgent Ed Sheeran X even outsold the popular film soundtrack). Luke has now scanned nearly 404k in just two weeks. A new Elvis compilation, Elvis Forever is at #2 with 27k scanned. At #3 is Sam Hunt's Montevallo. He's now scanned 708k copies of his debut record. Zac Brown Band's Jekyll+Hyde is at #4 with 494k scanned while Pat Green debuts at #5 with 9k fans taking home the album Home in the first week it was for sale.

Luke Bryan's "Crash My Party" finally crossed 2.5 million! If his label had put in a little more effort trying to crossover Play It Again (unsolicited airplay at Hot AC/Adult Top 40) and That's My Kind Of Night, CMP would have passed 3 million.
