Lauren Alaina To Debut "Barefoot & Buckwild" on American Idol Results Show Next Week

The talented young singer who sold over 300,000 copies of her debut album Wildflower for Mercury Nashville is set to bring her lead single for her sophomore album to American Idol's Top 3 results show stage next week. Read on here to learn more about the single and to take a listen to a sample.

Lauren, who scored a trio of hits (the top 30 "Georgia Peaches" and Top 40 hits "Like My Mother Does" and "Eighteen Inches"), sold over 300,000 copies of her label debut Wildflower while also successfully touring with mentors last year.

"Barefoot and Buckwild" is co-written with Chris DeStefano (Chris Young's "Aw Naw," Carrie Underwood's "Good Girl") and Jon Nite (Thompson Square's Top 20 hit "Glass") and Lauren is looking to break the Top 20 for the first time with the new single's uptempo country/pop mix.
