The fourth single from Bringing Back The Sunshine, "Gonna" was written by Luke Laird and Craig Wiseman and the song is largely sold on Shelton's considerable charm, which easily comes across in the vocal of the tightly-written song.
The melody features fiddles intermixed with a pedel-altered guitar intro and there are type where lyrics are nearly spoken in the bridge of the track but it is accented nice by a mostly acoustic guitar solo. The melodies are mixed between the contemporary guitar sounds and percussive electronic programming and traditional acoustic guitars fiddles and drum kit. It works well for a late summer/early fall single from Shelton and should continue his winning streak with country radio which is now at 15 #1 singles in a row (all of which are Gold or Platinum save for "All About Tonight" which is likely eligible for such a certification).
