With "On To Something Good," Ashley Monroe is indeed on her way to something awesome. Written with hit makers Luke Laird and Barry Dean, "On To Something Good" showcases a more contemporary side to Ashley Monroe's sound, all without losing who she is as an artist. That neotraditionalsit hippie girl is still evident but there's a clear mainstream sensibility that was often not found in her timeless Like A Rosealbum from 2013. That album was great but hinted at something more and this is that something more.
Radio and fans should enjoy this track for what it is, the delightful future hit single from one of the best female vocalists in all of country music, the keeper of the Dolly Parton flame.
