The namesake for the band, Christian Lopez is only 19 years old but his music has as much wisdom to it as artists twice his age. "The Man I Was Before" is from Christian Lopez Band's debut EP, which hits stores next week. Christian's words about the song: I'd gone weeks with a melody stuck in my head. It wasn't until I was on a plane headed to Nashville that I was able to really sit back and reminisce on the people that I love and trust at home, and before I knew it, the words to this song oozed out of me and onto my my iPhone's notes. This song simply talks about how just one special person can turn things around in your life for the better, and that, in the end, you can do the same for them. It was one of the more recent songs written on the new EP and one that truly means a lot to me.
