Simone Dinnerstein is an acclaimed classical pianist and Tift Merritt is an acclamed singer/songwriter who were put together by fate after Grammophone magazine introduced them through an interview session between Merritt and Dinnerstein. They instantly hit it off, became friends and connected. They decided to embark on an interesting musical journey combining their disciplines of popular and classial music into a blender and what came out is surely one of the most artistic, unique and just damn good records of the year thus far.
