Another day, another time for us to share some great roots music with y’all with Americana band Maple Run Band who spin yarns from Northern Vermont on their sophomore album, Used To Be The Next Big Thing, set to be released on November 18, 2022. The stories run the gamut from lost love to shatter dreams to lost potential with a wry wit that recalls iconic Americana stalwart John Prine. The songs aren’t all happy and the band’s frontman, vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Trevor Crist, believes that it’s needed in these days of music that’s either too happy, earnest or novelty. We’re proud to have partnered with Maple Run Band on premiering “Tears of a Fool,” a track out September 22 and we hope you like it as much as we do!
