Andy Grammer & Eli Young Band - "Honey, I'm Good"

Andy Grammer

A fun song on the pop charts that is #10 there (as of right now), the song isn't all that different from some of the stuff that's been popular on the country charts in the past and certainly not currently different from what we have now. The remix has steel guitar flourishes that are audible in the mix and Mike Eli's vocal on the 2nd verse fits right in. Chances are, really, that this one could've pulled an "All Summer Long" and crossed over without any duet or remix but adding a band with chart success will certainly give people reason to test it.

It remains to be seen if "Honey, I'm Good" can be a duet with EYB and Andy Grammar and be a hit (a similar move with Train's "Bruises" -- arguably, a "more country" song -- featuring Ashley Monroe struggled) , but we'll certainly find out. If that happens, I suspect the country airplay chart and the pop airplay charts will have more overlap in the years ahead.
