Dylan Scott - "Lay It On Me"

With a sound that recalls Cole Swindell and Florida Georgia Line, Dylan Scott has released his best single yet.

It was bound to happen sooner or later. An artist was going to try their hand at a real Florida Georgia Line-like single. This is exactly what Dylan Scott has done with his new single “Lay It On Me.” The talented vocalist from Bastrop, Louisiana is only 24 years old so it’s perfectly natural for him to sing a song like “Lay It On Me.”

While his debut single “Makin’ This Boy Go Crazy” showcased a talented newcomer who could blend the tradition of Country’s past with their modern flair, “Lay It On Me” doesn’t really do that though it still showcases his talent with songwriting, even if it feels slightly like everyone else. But maybe that’s what radio programmers want these days.

Despite all of that, "Lay It On Me" is an earworm kind of song. It's easy to listen to and while it may not be the earth-shaking debut that most new artists need (see Maddie & Tae's "Girl In A Country Song") but it's not a song that will be ignored like Scott's previous songs seemed to have been.
