A couple of years ago Sonia Leigh released a stellar album titled 1978 December and it instantly showcased a strong singer/songwriter with something to say. That album was produced under the Southern Ground Artists label and while Sonia has moved on, she's learned quite a bit from Zac Brown's team about songwriting and performing and she's taken what she's learned there and written this new song -- "Put It In Your Pocket" -- with Bobby Huff and issued it to SiriusXM's "The Highway" before a full-scale launch later this year.
In addition to her own music, Sonia has co-written the hits "Goodbye In Her Eyes" and "Sweet Annie" For the Zac Brown Band.
"Put It In Your Pocket" represents a new sound for the singer, a sound Sonia Leigh's excited to share with the world stating, "Most everyone is loving it and I’m excited to be a part of a different movement. I’ve always been an outside of the box artist and I’m aware and proud of that."
