At the suggestion of friends, Joey+Rory entered CMT's "Can You Duet" despite not really being an active duo before.  They didn't win the show but are the first artists from it to release their debut album. And what a fine album it is.

Coming virtually out of nowhere with a compelling, made-for-TV love story, Joey + Rory have proven that talent rises to the top.  All of this happened to a couple that wasn't even a recording duo prior to 2008.  They end the year with our 28th favorite single.

Vanguard/Sugar Hill Records is announced today the addition of Can You Duet's Joey+Rory to their venerable roster. The duo is currently in the studio with Grammy Award-winning producer Carl Jackson finishing their debut album, expected for a fall 2008 release.
