Nielsen SoundScan Hot 200 Albums

This week finds Lady Antebellum once-again being the best-selling country artist on the Hot 200 Albums chart compiled by SoundScan but that doesn't mean the trio scored the chart-topping album this week as that distinction fell to a brand-new debut album.

For the 23rd week in a row, Lady Antebellum finds Need You Now sitting in the top spot of the Nielsen SoundScan Hot Country Albums chart.  Jaron and the Long Road to Love's Getting Dressed in the Dark remains near the top as well.

With Up On The Ridge, Dierks Bentley leads a slate of new country albums onto this week's Hot Country Albums chart compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.  Did the CMT Music Awards help any other artists with their album chart placements?  

The debate between fans continues as to who is 'the best' female country artist on the charts ('trad' fans might argue that it's neither).  Sales numbers say it's Taylor but Carrie's right on her heels as are Lady Antebellum.  Click-thru to see who else sold well this week.
