Singer/Songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff's brand of folksy music is hard to classify and therefore it falls into the catch-all Americana genre.  Influences include Johnny Cash and other great American artists like Bob Dylan and The Band.

Surpises come everyday and that's what happened upon listening to Alex Woodard's self-titled album.  Expecting something more rock than country, I was plesantly surprised with the amount of country that was present on the disc.
