Trisha Yearwood confirmed in a recent interview with CBS This Morning that her longtime plans to record a duets album with husband Garth Brooks are finally coming to fruition. Brooks and Yearwood have reportedly been intending to make an album together for nearly twenty years.

Yearwood told CBS’ Jeff Glor, “It’ll be a whole different ball game, you know, as man and wife to go do this together. So I’m looking forward to it.”

This project would mark Country Music Hall Of Famer Garth Brooks’ first full-fledged studio outing since his announcement in 2000 of his intentions to retire from recording and touring until his youngest daughter’s high school graduation, which will take place next year.

Yearwood also has plans to record a new solo album, which will be her first studio effort since 2007′s critically-acclaimed Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love. In recent years, she has been focusing primarily on her other foremost passion besides music – cooking.

Yearwood has released three successful coobooks, earning her two-time status as a New York Times bestselling author. Since April 2012, Yearwood has hosted the Food Network series Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, for which she has won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Culinary Series.
