Country Chart News – The Top 30 Digital Singles: The Week of October 3, 2012: Taylor Swift Begins Again

With “Begin Again,” Taylor Swift continues her dominance of the Top 30 Digital Single chart. She has three tracks on this rundown with sales totaling over 500,000. Read on to see how the rest of the Top 30 did, including the debut of a new Jake Owen/Florida Georgia Line Collaboration.

Taylor Swift Remains #1 but gets there with new country single “Begin Again,” with the divisive “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” now #2.

Fans who aren’t Taylor Swift fans better get used to seeing her name peppered on these reports for the next two months or so as she will release singles from the album Red up until it’s released later this month when the rest of those songs will be peppering this list. She owns the first two slots on the chart and sold over 50,000 when you add #13 single “Ronan” to the rundown mix. Last week’s #2 single (and a recent airply #1 hit), Hunter Hayes’ “Wanted” slides to #3 and has nearly sold 1.5 million singles. A newly minted Gold single sits at #4 as “Cruise” from Florida Georgia Line continues its forward momentum and we have no doubts it’ll soon be a Platinum (or more) single. We’ve always felt that way. Carrie Underwood has the #5 best-selling country single with the soon to be Platinum “Blown Away.”

Jake Owen Debuts In Top 10 with “Summer Jam” Collabo w/FGL

Little Big Town’s hit of the summer, “Pontoon” sits at #6 this week while This week’s airplay chart-topper, Jason Aldean’s “Take A Little Ride” sits at #7. Lee Brice is at #8 with “Hard To Love.” Jake Owen’s “Summer Jam,” a song written by Florida Georgia Line and featuring the duo, debuts at #9 and it’s from the Endless Summer EP. Luke Bryan rounds out the Top 10 with “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye.”

Riser Of The Week: Randy Houser “How Country Feels”

Randy Houser continues to see his career on the upswing again with “How Country Feels” continuing to reel in fans as it moves past the 100,000 copies sold mark while also rising seven slots on the Digital chart (to #23) this week. Justin Moore is also seeing positive sales response to his latest hit “Til My Last Day” while Kip Moore debuts in the Top 30 with his sophomore radio hit “Beer Money.” Outside of the two brand new singles, “Beer Money” is the only new single to this week’s rundown.

Songs falling out of the Top 30 This Week:

Dierks Bentley’s “5150”, Randy Houser’s “Anything Goes” and Lady Antebellum’s “Wanted You More.”

New singles likely to debut next week:
