The Top 5 of Country Music contains three newcomers this week with Sugarland’s lead vocalist Jennifer Nettles debuting with That Girl while Rosanne Cash’s The River And The Thread is #2 and Jon Pardi debuts at #3.

Jennifer Nettles may be a debut artist as a solo singer but fans know of her as Sugarland’s lead vocalist. Still, 54k fans taking a copy of the album home its first week out isn’t too ba considering not every Sugarland fan knew she was/has released a solo album. Award-winning icon Rosanne Cash debuts at #2 with The River and The Thread while Jon Pardi’s Write You A Song debuts at #3. Rounding out the Top 5 are Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan with Here’s To The Good Times and Crash My Party, respectively. All 5 albums managed to place in the Top 20, giving Country music ¼ of the Top 20 best-selling albums in America this week.

Garth Brooks “Blame It All On My Roots” leads Second half of Top 10. Joined by Texas newcomer Cody Johnson and Vocal group Home Free.

10k fans decided to plunk down the $25 needed to purchase “Blame It All On My Roots” while 8k took home Texas Country artist Cody Johnson’s Cowboy Like Me and 6k took home a copy of The Sing-Off winners Home Free’s debut Crazy Life. The Top 10 is rounded out by superstars Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean with their Platinum-certified latest albums Based On A True Story and Night Train, respectively.

The 5 Notables include Cassadee Pope’s debut Frame By Frame, and the latest albums from Scotty McCreery, Florida Georgia Line’s iTunes Sessions EP and more.

This weeks’ Notables section kicks off with the new EP from Florida Georgia Line. Like everything else, their life iTunes Sessions outsells many others this week. The next album on our rundown is Keith Urban’s Fuse. “We Were Us” and “Little Bit Of Everything” are already #1 hits from the project and “Cop Car” seems like it’s destined to follow suit. The album gained sales this week while Scotty McCreery’s latest (See You Tonight) has sold190k albums to date (but lost sales week over week). Danielle Bradbery’s self-titled debut has now sold 109k while Cassadee Pope’s Frame By Frame has moved 150k and is soon to feature a follow-up single to the Top 10 Gold-selling “Wasting All These Tears” in “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart.”

We have three bonus albums on this notable rundown this week with Charlie Worsham’s Rubberband leading the way with sales nearing 20k. The next new and noteworthy album is Brandy Clark’s 12 Stories. She’s now sold over 21k copies of the album without any major radio airplay outside of SiriusXM.
