Keith Urban Releases New Single “Messed Up As Me”

The country music star previews his forthcoming album with a second track from the project following its world debut at CRS in Nashville.

In his quest to keep the new music flowing in 2024, Keith Urban has dropped his new single “Messed Up As Me” today to country music fans nationwide. The song, which he debuted February 29 during the annual Country Radio Seminar during the iconic annual Team UMG at the Ryman luncheon show.

“Let’s Put it this way,” Keith Urban said at the luncheon. “Most of us have been in dysfunctional relationships before, where there’s not a lot of compatibility, except for one area where it’s so good you put up with all the rest. A phone call or a night out and you’re right back where you shouldn’t be.”

Musically, there’s an unresolved quality to the song, just like that dysfunctional relationship, it’s a cycle of always going back to what you know. “Messed Up As Me” was co-produced by Keith Urban and Dann Huff, his longtime collaborator. The song, which was written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Rodney Clawson, Michael Lotten and Shane McAnally, is the second track — after last month’s “Straight Line” — which gives fans a taste of what to expect on Keith’s highly-anticipated album slated for release later in 2024.
