Caylee Hammack Shows Why She’s a Star in the Making with Clever New Song “That Dog”

The ACM-Nominated Artist releases the third preview track to her forthcoming sophomore album for Capitol Nashville today. Get the details and listen here!

Capitol Nashville’s fiery rising star Caylee Hammack has dropped a new playful breakup anthem with “That Dog,” a track she co-wrote with Jake Mitchell and Aaron Raitiere. To add a cherry on top, Caylee co-produced the track with iconic producer Dann Huff. The track builds on the storyline of “All or Nothing,” and “History of Repeating” and finds her writing a new chapter where she takes her dog over the man.

“Sometimes the true heartbreak lies in the pieces left behind after a breakup, rather than the actual ending of the relationship,” Hammack said, “'That Dog' is the story of coming to that realization.”

Caylee’s new tracks are the lead tracks to her forthcoming sophomore album release for Capitol Nashville. The album is the follow up to her album If It Wasn’t For You, which featured her Top 30 hit “Family Tree,” the streaming giant “Small Town Hypocrite” and a duet with her hero Reba in “Redhead.” Caylee was also a part of Ashley McBryde’s ACM-nominated Welcome To Lindeville collaboration including the songs “Brenda Put Your Bra On,” “Bonfire At Tina’s” and “When Will I Be Loved.” She has been opening shows on Dierks Bentley’s Gravel & Gold Tour while also setting up forthcoming shows in the UK (Glasgow on 8/22, London on 8/23, and Manchester on 8/24). These shows will be co-headlining dates with Tenille Arts.
