Nate Smith To Release Self Titled Debut Album in Early 2023

Set for a February 2023 release, the album promises to deliver several future hits in addition to Top 15 Gold-certified hit “Whiskey On You.”

2023 is shaping up to be the year of Nate Smith as The firebrand vocalist and songwriter is set to release his self-titled Arista Nashville debut album on February 17. The album will feature the breakout debut single “Whiskey On You,” already Top 15 and Gold certified, while also containing “I Found You,” “I Don’t Wanna Go To Heaven” and new song “Wreckage,” among others (to be announced later).

The album, which is 20 songs deep, chronicles Nate Smith’s path where he’s found purpose and hope. It’s an honest, real, raw collection threaded together with optimism.

“It has been so much fun making this album, and I really believe in every one of these songs,” Nate said. “Releasing an album has always been a goal of mine, but at the end of the day it’s really not about me. It’s about being able to reach other people with music that means something.” He adds that his mission with his music is to be a “conduit of hope”; a selfless and passionate driving force that’s thematic in his songs. “I’m not trying to be cool, or reinvent the wheel, or chase musical trends…I’m going after the heart of the matter.”

The album’s release joins the just-announced news that Nate Smith will be joining Thomas Rhett’s Home Team Tour in 2023. The tour will kick off May 4 in Des Moines, IA and will hit 40 cities. Nate was named the final member of the Grand Ole Opry’s NextStage Class of 2022 and on this Saturday, he will take the stage on November 20 for the Opry NextStage Live In Concert presented by Geico, alongside other 2022 NextStage artists Elvie Shane, Breland, Restless Road and Conner Smith.

Smith’s “vevelt-thunder vocals” showcases his blend of backwoods soul, rock n roll swagger and country music storytelling as wants to be a beacon of hope in the genre on an inspirational message. He lost everything in 2018’s Camp Fire, which tore through Paradise California, the most-destructive wildfire in the state’s history and it’s something which inspired him to focus on music and brought him to Nashville where’s on the cusp of stardom with his breakout hit “Whiskey On You” and forthcoming 20 track self-titled album.
