Willie Jones is Only Country Artist Selected to VEVO's "DSCVR" for 2022

Willie Jones tapped as one of VEVO’s DSCVR “Artists To Watch” for 2022.

With his star already on the rise within Nashville and the greater country music community, Willie Jones has made even greater strides with the announcement that VEVO has selected him as one of their DSCVR “Artists To Watch” for 2022. The campaign features a curated class of 21 emerging artists from around the world who are expected to breakthrough the mainstream.

This news comes fresh off the heels of the release of the feel-good anthem “Get Low, Get High” and finds Willie Jones as the only country artists selected on the list, which has spotlighted previously unknown artists like Billie Eilish, Sam Smith and Louis Capaldi.

"This annual taste-making program is the pride of Vevo’s in-house editorial team of music lovers," explains Vevo's SVP of Content, Programming & Marketing JP Evangelista. "Over the years, we have worked with a wide range of artists from around the world, who have grown and developed into huge household names today. Vevo plays a crucial role in maximizing the value of the music video, and this campaign is really where the journey with these 21 artists really begins."

In celebration of the exciting announcement, the Shreveport, LA, native has recorded two live performances exclusively for Vevo, each showcasing Jones' unique blend of hip-hop and country elements alongside his impressive, baritone vocals -- a signature style praised by NPR, The Recording Academy, Billboard and more. Both performances will roll out on the platform in the coming weeks.

Recently dubbed one of "12 Black Artists Shaping Country Music’s Future" by USA Today, Jones' latest release, "Get Low, Get High," follows in the footsteps of his swampy, summertime jam, "Down By The Riverside," which garnered his second late-night TV appearance with a "rousing" (Rolling Stone) performance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this year.
