She's already won 6 Grammy Awards, multiple CMA and ACM Awards (including winning “Album of the Year” from all three bodies for her most-recent album Golden Hour) and accolades such as Woman of the Year from Billboard magazine so it’s no surprise that the artist, whose music has sparingly been heard on country radio, would pivot — at least a little bit — from her home genre of modern country music to work her forthcoming album in the largest of ways possible. As if to notice how the waves of change are flowing, UMG Nashville and Interscope Records have formed a partnership to jointly release Musgraves’ forthcoming album.
