Randy Houser Returns to #1 With “What Whiskey Does”

Singer has been working for two years on follow up to the Fired Up album.

After two years, Randy Houser is back, and like he’s done a handful of times before, he heads straight to #1 as the song became the most-added song at Country Radio this week. The song, his lead single from a forthcoming album via Stony Creek Records, is the first song from his time holed up in a studio in East Nashville working on the new tunes, the songs which are said to lean more into the powerful sounds he created on his earliest recordings.

Written with Keith Gattis and Hillary Lindsey (who sings harmony vocals on the track), the song showcases Houser’s smoky vocals along with the bluesy riffs and swampy sounds that Randy naturally imbibes into his overall sound.

radio adds are one thing but actually being #1 on either the Country airplay chart or Hot Country Songs Chart is gonna be a tall order to fill #1 on airplay is Kenny Chesney's Get Along and #1 at Hot Country Songs is Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia line's Meant To Be which has been #1 for 32 weeks from December 16th 2017-July 28th 2018 so it needs two more weeks to tie Sam Hunt's Body Like A Back Road for the most weeks at #1 34 had it reached #1 on December 2nd 2017 it would've tied the record this week and broken it next week
