What's funny is that the fighter is just being certified gold when based on sales alone it's almost platinum

certs for singles are based on downloads/streaming while albums are based on sales/streaming as for The Weight Of These Wings's platinum it's based on the double disc over 90 minutes rule so 500,000 copies have shipped and each disc is counted towards certification thus reaching 1,000,000 each of Miranda's albums released between 2005 and 2016 have gone at least platinum where as for example in the first 11 years of Mariah Carey's career she released 7 studio albums a live EP a Christmas album a greatest hits package and a movie Soundtrack each of the studio albums The E.P. and the Greatest Hits package reached at least triple platinum status while the Glitter Soundtrack reached platinum so because it under performed she was dropped from virgin records and picked up by Island who she was with from 2002-2014 releasing 5 albums including 2005's The Emancipation Of Mimi which reached six times platinum which it reached in roughly 10 months of release from April 12th 2005 to February 16th 2006 partly due to a November 15th 2005 re release with bonus tracks
