In a surprise announcement, Joe Nichols and his team at Red Bow Records announced a release date of July 28, 2017 for Never Gets Old, his sophomore album on the label after the hit-spawning Crickets. Joe, who has six #1 hits and 8 Top 10 hits to his credit, worked with Mickey Jack Cones and Brent Rowan on the project.
Never Gets Old features a dozen new songs including a humorous take on Sir Mix A Lot’s “Baby Got Back” as a bonus, closing cut. The song, which features comedian Darren Knight, is finally being included on an album after fans have clamored for Joe to give them the song for years. The album’s title track, written by Steve Moakler and Connie Harrington serves as the lead single while steel guitar is featured prominently on the project including a prominent placement on “I’d Sing About You.”
