Luke Combs Debuts at #1 With “This One’s For You”

The young singer/songwriter behind “Hurricane” debuts in Top 5 all genre.

Luke Combs has been turning heads with his talent since the moment he hit Nashville. The rising star, signed to River House Artists and Columbia Nashville, not only outsold every country album -- with This One's For You -- in the nation last week but he also scored the 5th best album in all of America with sales of 43k in total activity.

With “Hurricane” a platinum-certified chart-topping hit preceding it, This One’s For You certainly got off to a fantastic start. Now the second single “When It Rains, It Pours” is set to take the project into the stratosphere. “Hurricane” was the first multi-week #1 since Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise.”

Combs performed at both CMA Music Festival and the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival this past weekend. Upon learning the No. 1 news on Sunday, Combs said “I’m blown away at the response to This One’s For You. As a songwriter and artist, there is nothing more rewarding or humbling than to have your songs embraced by fans. I’m grateful for all the folks who have shown up to shows over the years, told their friends about these songs and been a part of the path to get here.”
