Yes they are gold and platinum. Album sales are not just physical sales. It's streaming and digital downloads that also count towards album sales. Look it up.

Marren's album is a slow seller it's been out nearly a year and sold less than 250,,000 copies while for example in roughly the same amount of time of release Faith Hill's Breathe had gone 5 x platinum denoting shipments of 5 million copies eventually shipping eight million and being certified eight times platinum
