funny thing about F.G.L.'s Holy is it was certified double platinum on September 23rd 2016 yet it has about 600 k to sell to actually reach 2 million sold

    • Eder

Certifications are based on sales and streamings. 'Holy' has over 175 million streams, this is equivalent to over 1.1 million units, so the total is up to 2.5 million units.

They're certified based on sales plus streaming. The parameters have changed. These just show hard data for best-selling songs. If soundscan does a chart that has a total impact, we might switch to that (like albums are).
