Reckless Kelly Host Celebrity Softball Jam This Weekend

Cody Canada & The Departed, Ray Benson, Kyle Park and William Clark Green have been confirmed as performers at this year's Reckless Kelly Celebrity Softball Jam on Sunday, May 15 at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, TX. Proceeds from the celebrity softball game and music festival benefit The SIMS Foundation.

The newly announced acts join a lineup of 20+ artists performing on two centerfield stages, following a softball game featuring an all-star lineup of musicians, professional athletes and media celebrities led by brothers Willy and Cody Braun of Reckless Kelly.

Always fun to watch, this year's softball game is shaping up to be a fierce competition. Participants include MLB World Series champion pitchers Roger Clemens, Josh Beckett, Greg Swindell and Norm Charlton, MLB players Brooks Kieschnick and Glenn Wilson Sr., NFL players Kasey Studdard, Quan Cosby and Ahmad Brooks, along with media personalities Andy Langer (KGSR), Eric Raines (KOKE-FM), B-Doe (KLBJ), Kirsten Winquist (Sirius XM), Addie Broyles (Austin American-Statesman), Anne Hudson (KASE 101), Erin Hogan (The Horn), Brendon Anthony (Texas Music Office), Charlie Hodge, TJ Greaney (Country Line Magazine) and others.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The SIMS Foundation and Reckless Kelly's ongoing efforts to support youth sports programs in Central Texas. Since it began eight years ago, Reckless Kelly's Celebrity Softball Jam has raised over $300,000 for area youth leagues, including the funding of a $150,000 renovation of Mabson Field in East Austin, TX.

Reckless Kelly Celebrity Softball Jam, created and produced by Reckless Kelly in conjunction with Ryan Sanders Entertainment, is a registered 501C-3 through the Reckless Kelly Charitable Youth Foundation. Ryan Sanders Entertainment is a division of Ryan Sanders Baseball, owner/operator of the Round Rock Express (Texas Rangers Triple-A affiliate) and Ryan Sanders Sports Services. The SIMS Foundation provides mental health and addiction recovery services to the Austin music family. Each year, SIMS connects hundreds of musicians, roadies, lighting techs, sound engineers and other Austin music professionals with counseling, psychiatric, and addiction recovery services to treat depression, anxiety, stage fright, relationship issue, addiction, and other serious mental health issues.

SIMS Foundation provides access and financial support for mental health to over 600 Austin musicians, music professionals, and their families. A musician or music industry professional can call SIMS Foundation and speak with a licensed clinician who will offer immediate support, assess for the next level of care, and provide a personalized referral with the SIMS Provider Network.

SIMS Foundation providers have a deep understanding of the unique challenges of making a living in the music industry in Austin. Through partnerships with over 70 therapists, psychiatrists, and addiction therapy providers, the SIMS Foundation makes available a broad spectrum of services.
