Country Albums Chart Report: January 19, 2016

Chris Stapleton holds down the #1 sales position yet again with "Traveller," one of 2015's best-selling country albums.

Chris Stapleton just keeps on chugging along as the wonder of wonders as he's become country music's "Adele," the artist who sells to all people of all stripes, whether they like a certain sound all the time or not. He's now sold nearly 750,000 copies of Traveller, his Grammy-nominated, CMA-winning album. Sam Hunt's at #2 with the Platinum Montevallo while Thomas Rhett's Tangled Up holds down the #3 slot with sales at 271k to date. Eric Church's Mr. Misunderstood sits at #4 with sales of 289k to date while Carrie Underwood is at #5 with Storyteller, her Gold-certified album.

Top Ten Recap

At #6 we find Luke Bryan's Kill The Lights, an album approaching Gold certifications. Meanwhile, Blake Shelton's Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits sits at #7 while Cam is at #8 with Untamed. We find Chris Young's I'm Comin' Over at #9 and at #10 is Old Dominion's RCA Nashville debut Meat And Candy.

Notables

Notable albums include Don Henley's Cass County and Zac Brown Band's Jekyll+Hyde. Jana Kramer's Thirty-One and Brett Eldredge's Illinois both scored sales increases while Tim McGraw's Damn Country Music is approaching 100k scanned, the same which can be said for Kelsea Ballerini's The First Time.
