This week we have two new albums in the Top 5 but the #1 album is a familiar one as Luke Bryan's Kill The Lights rises back to #1 after a handful of weeks away from the spotlight. At #2 is Toby Keith's 35 MPH Town. The album scanned nearly 19k its first week out, not bad for a star without a huge radio single. Right behind him is rising star Jana Kramer who sold nearly 18k her first week with her sophomore album Thirty-One. At #4 is last week's #2 album and the #1 album from two week's ago, Don Henley's Cass County. He's now scanned 133k copies of his first country album and first solo album in 15 years. George Strait's Cold Beer Conversation slides from #1 to #5 with sales of 129k to date.
Top Ten Recap
Sitting at #6 is Thomas Rhett's Tangled Up. The album has now scanned 102k to date (3 weeks) and likely will be a top seller this holiday shopping season. At #7 is Sam Hunt's Montevallo. The album has now scanned 790k to date and remains in the Top 30 all genre. Right behind him in this chart is Kane Brown with Closer. The EP from the indie artist continues to make waves in its jump from #10 to #8 and it's Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 200 Albums chart as well, remarkable for someone without any major publishing or label deals. The Top 10 is rounded out by Country Music vets Alabama with Southern Drawl at #9 and Zac Brown Band's Jekyll+Hyde at #10.
New albums this week hitting the chart include Josh Thompson's latest, Jason Boland and the Stragglers and Corb Lund along with notes about Kelsea Ballerini, Carrie Underwood, Brett Eldredge, Maddie & Tae, Little Big Town, Cam, Miranda Lambert, Garth Brooks and more.
