Charles Kelley, the talented singer/songwriter and main male vocalist for the Grammy-winning band Lady Antebellum, is not wasting his band’s downtime as he’s launching his own solo career with “The Driver,” his debut single as a solo artist while also launching a tour of the same name.
Instead of playing sold-out arenas, Kelley is returning to his roots with a club tour which will hit 22 sites over the fall/winter, starting with a show at Cleveland, Ohio’s House Of Blues club on November 28th. The tickets will be available on his website (click here) on Friday 10/16/2015 and tomorrow, Citi cardmembers will be able to access resale tickets through Citi’s Private Pass Program. Citi is sponsoring the tour as the official credit card of The Driver Tour. Enterprise Rent-A-Car will be the headline sponsor of the Driver Tour with newcomer and Sony Nashville artist Maren Morris opening up the tour.
“I've played some great shows at arenas and amphitheaters, but I'm definitely looking forward to getting into clubs with people grabbing on your legs and being able to see every face,” shares Kelley. “I can't wait to get right up there in it with the fans and try out some of this new stuff we've been working on. I'm pretty excited about just scrapping the set list and playing whatever we feel like playing.”
Charles Kelley’s scheduled to perform on The Tonight Stow Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night and the performance will feature friends Dierks Bentley and Eric Paslay who also lent their voices to the track. The song is officially out at country radio and available for download on AppleMusic.
