Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley Working on a Solo Project

As his band Lady Antebellum takes some time off to live life after 9 years on the road, Charles Kelley has been hard at work on his own solo project.

Charles Kelley’s first single ("The Driver") from his forthcoming project for Capitol Records Nashville (home to his band Lady Antebellum) will hit radio on Monday. If Charles Kelley releasing a solo project is a surprise, well, it shouldn’t be as he had a solo project before joining Lady Antebellum called 2 to the 9’s that wasn’t dissimilar from what his brother, recording artist Josh Kelley, had released.

For his new music, which he unveils in Nashville to the music press tomorrow, Charles Kelley will probably stay close to the stuff that has made him a household name on the country music charts with Lady Antebellum. He’s a confident, powerful vocalist and songwriter and its’ evident from the single “The Driver,” which features Dierks Bentley & Eric Paslay, will be an event single from Kelley and that he’s excited to share his own solo story to the fans. The single (which is more of an event song than many solo debuts) promises to be an enticing single for radio to embrace.

Look for more news about his forthcoming project when we learn more about the project.
