CMA Country Christmas Will Air on ABC Network in 2015

The Annual event will move to an iconic stage/location for the taping in 2015.

With fans and family in Nashville excited to take part in the annual tradition of the post-CMA Awards CMA Country Christmas event, the 2015 event is poised to top 2014’s spectacular event as they’re moving it to tape the 2 our holiday special on Saturday, November 7, 2015 while also asking fans to once again bring unwrapped new toto the taping to “Make the Holidays Brighter For Area Children in Need.” The event will tape on that day at 6:00 PM CT with doors open at 5:00 PM CT.

“The special will tape on a new day and in a new venue this year,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “The Opry was the home of the CMA Awards for many years and it is nice to be back. And taping the showon Saturday is more convenient for Nashville families who have made this part of their holiday traditions.”

Another popular feature of the taping is a toy drive for deserving children. In 2014, through a partnership with ABC Television Network and the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program, CMA collected more than 5,000 unwrapped gifts for deserving children in the region.

“Providing new toys for deserving children shines a spotlight on a worthy endeavor and reflects the values and spirit of giving found in our artists, industry, and city,” Trahern said.
