Alan Jackson Returns To Grand Ole Opry in October

Star’s visit to the iconic country music institution is a part of his 25th Anniversary celebration and The Opry’s own 90th Anniversary celebration.

Alan Jackson is set to visit The Grand Ole Opry on October 6, 2015. Jackson, a member since 1991, has said, “The ultimate dream when you’re in the country music is to be asked to join the Grand Ole Opry.” The occasion also celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Jackson’s Grand Ole Opry debut. "Since making his Opry debut 25 years ago, Alan Jackson has written and recorded songs that will go down as true country music classics," said Opry Vice President and General Manager Pete Fisher. "We are excited to hear some of those great songs and welcome Alan home to the Opry stage next month."

The star has been on a coast-to-coast 25th Anniversary Keeping’ It Country Tour and just released his 15th studio album, the #1 charting “Angels and Alcohol” and has seen the album sell well over 100,000 units and remain in the Top 10 all without having a major radio chart hit. The album is the 22nd release of his career, including a Bluegrass album, 2 Gospel albums, 2 Christmas albums and three Greatest Hits albums.

Others scheduled to appear on Tuesday, October 6 are Miranda Lambert, Marty Stuart, Del McCouray Band and Lary Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers.
