Kristian Bush Debuts "Light Me Up" Music Video

Kristian Bush debuted his love-struck music video for the infectious single “Light Me Up” today (9/1) on CMT Pure and KristianBush.CMT.com. The video will also be available on iTunes and VEVO in the coming days.

Filmed in the historic Ocean Way Nashville recording studio and on the streets in Ann Arbor, MI, and Nashville, TN, the music video for “Light Me Up” features real-life couples expressing their love. Produced by the brother and sister team Cy Abdelnour and Maria Abdelnour alongside Nashville-based filmmakers Dace and Mohr, the video lines up Bush’s live, full-band performance with vignettes of couples interacting.

The anthemic love song was co-written by Bush and Jesse Rice (“Cruise") and shows a different side of the multi-faceted artist.

"'Light Me Up’ is about what it’s like, as a man, to be loved by a woman,” Bush explains. “You can’t unlearn it. You can’t go back and forget it. This love changes us forever, and I wanted the song and the video to celebrate what that feels like.”

“Light Me Up” is the follow-up to Bush’s Top 20 hit “Trailer Hitch,” and both songs are featured on his critically-acclaimed debut solo album Southern Gravity.

This coming week, Bush will be the focus of Cumulus Media’s first-ever NASH TV Films’ documentary. Walk Tall: The Journey of Sugarland's Kristian Bush airs early September in 80 markets nationwide in partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group.
