Gene Watson Announces Fall Tour

Iconic Vocalist behind “Farewell Party” and “Love In The Hot Afternoon” to hit 19 different venues (some with multiple shows) over course of his fall tour.

Summer may be closing but that doesn’t mean Gene Watson is closing up shop. In contrary, the star vocalist with 23 Top 10 hits (6 #1’s) is set to hit nearly two dozen markets this fall to bring his unique brand of country music to the fans.

His career began in 1974 with “Love In The Hot Afternoon” and he hasn’t stopped going since. Having never intended to pursue music, Watson often refers to his consistent success in the music business as “an accidental career.”

“I’ve been at the top and I’ve been just as low as you can go.” Says Watson, “All that in between in my many years in this business has made me appreciate the fans all the more. Those are the folks who come out to hear the music and make it possible for singers like me to continue making the kind of country music we love – real country!”

Known as a singer’s singer, Watson continues to tour enough that his voice has only “ripened” with the years. The rich, pliable voice he has is still able to hit multiple-octaves and he most-recently highlighted it on his album My Heroes Have Always Been Country.” the 2014 release covers some of his all-time favorite including “Here Comes My Baby Again, “Count Me Out” and the Merle Haggard classic, “It’s Not Love.”
