Chris Janson Records Debut Album For Fall Release

He’s been on the road all summer but somehow has found time to record the tracks that will make up his full-length debut album.

Chris Janson, the man behind the viral sensation and Top 10 hit “Buy Me A Boat,” has been touring all summer and hitting the Grand Ole Opry a couple of times month but he’s finally been able to find time to finish recording his debut album, which he is co-producing with Brent Anderson, Chris Dubois and Byron Gallimore.

“I can't tell you how happy I am to have this music coming out,” Janson said. “I've been writing nonstop for 10 years so material was not a problem. My A&R rep said we have two albums of material. I have songs about boats, love, kids, back in my drinkin’ days and Jesus. It will definitely be a piece of Chris Janson.”

“Buy Me a Boat” has been the country music song of the summer, shooting into the Top 10 in an unheard of 13 weeks of release. It’s been streamed more than 6 million times on Spotify, viewed more than 3.2 million times on YouTube and is nearing gold certification with over 475,000 downloads.

The rising star is currently out on tour with Toby Keith for his Good Times & Pick Up Lines Tour, which is presented by Ford F-Series and he’s also playing select solo shows at fairs and festivals.
