Little Texas Hitting the Road With New Tour

The 90s icons tour behind latest album.

One of country music's most loved groups, Little Texas, released their Young For a Long Time album in April, and now they have announced a new tour to coincide with the music. The country rockers hit the road last week on the new trek, which started July 17 in Fargo, ND. The tour will continue on over the next several months.

Fans have already been giving the band positive feedback on the new tunes, which in turn is giving the band a whole new fire for what they do. "The songs on Young For A Long Time really reflect life in a lot of the places we visit,” says Little Texas member Duane Propes. "We're enjoying bringing this record to life onstage and listening to the reactions from both longtime fans and the new generation that are just discovering the band.”

Those journeys are what led the band to recently record “Slow Ride Home,” about the return of a fallen soldier to his Kansas hometown. The song—and the video that followed—were inspired when the band’s bus passed through miles of individuals lining the streets outside of Hayes, KS, where the soldier was from.

Fans know Little Texas from the group’s more than 25 years of musical history, including 22 charting singles from the band’s 10 albums. Little Texas reunited in 2004 after a hiatus, with original members Del Gray, Porter Howell, and Dwayne O'Brien joining Propes.
