Originally released in her native Australia last year, Bittersweet from Kasey Chambers is set to hit the USA on July 24, 2015. The album features a dozen new tracks and is the first time in Kasey’s career that she didn’t record the project with her brother and musical partner Nash Chambers. Instead, Kasey worked with well-known producer Nick DiDia for the project and it has leant the album an interesting dynamic that actually lends credence to some’s assertations that Bittersweet is a record that shows renewed interest in the talented Kasey Chambers artistry.
A longtime purveyor of the Alt-Country and Country-Rock sounds that have come to be known as Americana, Chambers is an award-winning artist and Bittersweet is her 7th solo record and first release since 2011’s Little Bird project. Kacey has also recorded four albums with her former husband Shane Nicholson. Some songs on Bittersweet were no doubt inspired by the breakup.
