CMA Announces 49th Annual CMA Awards Date

The annual CMA Awards is set to be Wednesday, November 4, 2015 on ABC TV.

The CMA Balloting season has begun as today the CMA Announced the 49th annual CMA Awards program to be broadcast in early November on ABC TV.

NASHVILLE – Balloting for “The 49th Annual CMA Awards” began today. “Country Music’s Biggest Night™” airs liveWednesday, Nov. 4 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
“Balloting season is an exciting time for CMA and our community as we look back over the past year, reflect on our successes as a format, and prepare for the biggest night in the industry,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer.
The 2015 CMA Awards nominees and winners are determined by more than 7,400 professional members of CMA, which was the first trade organization formed to promote an individual genre of music in 1958. The eligibility period for the 2015 CMA Awards is July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
The first ballot was sent out today to CMA Members in Good Standing who are eligible to vote. Voting for the first ballot closes July 16th (10 days). The second round will start August 11 and close August 20. Final nominees will be announced in early September, 2015 with CMA Members able to vote for 3 weeks starting in early October. Steven Tyler will announces the nominees on September 9, 2015 on ABC’s Good Morning America.
