Canaan Smith's "Love You Like That" Goes Gold

The same week his debut album hits the stores, the rising star signed to Mercury Nashville scores his first major sales accomplishment.

Canaan Smith is having a very exciting week. Not only did his debut album, Bronco, hit shelves today, but his hit single “Love You Like That” has been certified Gold by the RIAA for digital sales in excess of 500,000. Climbing its way up country radio’s Top 10, the song has garnered almost 33 Million combined streams (total streaming partners) and remains the best-selling debut single currently on the country radio chart.

Bronco, features “Love You Like That” plus 10 additional tracks. The Mercury Nashville artist co-wrote all but 3 of the songs on Bronco, and partnered with producers Brett Beavers, Jimmy Robbins, Ryan Tyndell and Luke Wooten on the project.

“As an album, I wanted Bronco to tell my story of who I am, and lead the listener through my life and what I’m all about," explains Smith. "I am so grateful for this experience and am really proud of the way the album has taken shape. My hope is that the fans can relate and find pieces of themselves in this music.”
