Rising singer/songwriter Kelsea Ballerini has reason to celebrate as she’s hit the Top 5 with a single for the first time in her career. Written with Josh Kerr, Lance Carpenter and her record’s co-producer Forest Glen Whitehead, “Love Me Like You Mean It” has helped Kelsea carve out an identifiable niche of her own within a genre that can often be tough to crack.
The success of the single also marks the first time her record label Black River Entertainment has found itself in the Top 5 (and it’s not gonna be the last time). It’s a great moment for Ballerini and her label as she launches her debut album The First Time.
"As a new artist releasing a first single, all you want is for it to be heard, to make a good first impression,” shares Ballerini. “The fact that country radio is embracing it, is more than I could ask for. I want to hug everyone."
Look for her to see if she can get this single to #1 and for announcement of an official follow-up single to happen soon after that.
