JB and the Moonshine Band “Mixtape” Tracklist & Cover Art

With two strong nationally-released albums to their credit, JB and the Moonshine Band are set to release their third album on June 30.

With the lead single “Shotgun, Rifle and a .45” hitting stores today [buy here], JB and the Moonshine Band have announced their upcoming album release, Mixtape. The album was recorded at Red Wasp Studios and was self-produced by the band. The studio is in Patterson’s 100-year-old log cabin near Tyler, Texas.

Although Mixtape is the title of one of the songs on the album, it also describes the varied styles on the album. I would say that the album is indeed Country, but more specifically, it’s traditional Country, outlaw/alternative Country, pop Country, rock, and Americana all at the same time. The fact that every song has a different feel just reinforced that the album should be called ‘Mixtape’. All in all, Mixtape offers of a wide variety of styles, themes and subject matter while maintaining the sonic characteristics and authenticity that our fans are used to.”

The album follows the hugely successful Beer For Breakfast and their first album Ain’t Goin’ Back To Jail, both issued via Average Joes Entertainment.
