Performed in the talking song style popularized in Country music by the likes of Roger Miller, Johnny Cash and Charlie Danies, “Real Life” is a song that sets the tone for what fans can expect to hear on Jake’s forthcoming album for RCA Nashville.
"Everybody can put themselves in this song in one way or another," Owen says. "And I've been dealing with a lot of real life circumstances lately: my father's sickness, fatherhood, getting married. These are the things I wanted to sing about, and I know my fans can relate."
With five #1 smashes - the 2X Platinum anthem “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” Platinum-certified hits “Beachin’,” “Anywhere with You,” “Alone with You” and “The One That Got Away,” it's also the perfect next step from his critically-acclaimed single, "What We Ain't Got."
