Blackjack Billy Releases New Single To Radio

Quartet's "Why God Made Summertime" hits Sirius XM's The Highway this week.

Cinco de Mayo was an extra special this year for the members of Blackjack Billy. The band -- comprised of Rob Blackledge, Noll Billings, Jeff Coplan and Brad Cummings -- enjoyed a drink or two, but they also celebrated the release of their debut single "Why God Made Summertime" to Sirius XM's The Highway. The single is the first from their upcoming release on Reviver Records.

“We unofficially, officially kicked off summer," Noll says of the song's release. "I can’t tell you how much we appreciate our friends at The Highway having us in the studio. It all started here, and I can’t think of a better way to spend Cinco de Mayo and share our music.”

The group has sold over 300,000 downloads and garnered momentum at radio with the 2014 hit “Booze Cruise.” The accompanying video for the single immediately went viral and generated a quick fan base and an impressive number of tour dates. Since then, the group has been writing, recording, and rocking audiences all over the United States and Canada.

“We are completely self contained and working our butts off and our having the time of our lives,” says Coplan. “We can't wait to see all of our friends out there.”
