Set to impact USA radio stations on July 13, 2015, Gord Bamford is set deliver on his promise of a massive country music smash with “When Your Lips Are So Close.” (View video below)
The single is already Gold-certified in Canada and was chosen as the Canadian Country Music Association’s “Single Of The Year” for 2014, beating out Canadian superstars in the process. The rollout in the U.S. follows acclaimed performances and the commencement of a well-received radio tour, both of which have seeded interest in the States.
"Game on," Bamford says of the launch. "We've put a lot of thought and planning into bringing the music down here and it's great to get going full blast. The crowds and programmers have been great so far and it really feels like there's a place for this song and the rest of my music here in the US, without doubt the biggest country market in the world."
Good is a 19 time Canadian Country Music Award Winner and their reigning male vocalist of the year.

It's not a refusal. Terri Clark had a huge run here. Paul Brandt did well for a while as did Emerson Drive and Carolyn Dawn Johnson. It's really about the labels and finances behind them to promote hits here. Dallas Smith seems like one who has done well w/o a big label here but we'll see if that translates any further or not. Same with Gord.
